The query below extracts the tuples from the City level of the Customer Geography hierarchy in the Customer dimension which is crossjoined with the Category members in the Product Categories hierarchy in the Product dimension.

      {} ON COLUMNS,
      EXTRACT(CROSSJOIN([Customer].[Customer Geography].[City].Members, [Product].[Product Categories].[Category].Members), [Customer].[Customer Geography]) ON ROWS
FROM
      [Adventure Works]
 
 

 
The query below extracts the members from the Calendar Year level of the Calendar hierarchy in the Date dimension which is crossjoined with the Type members in the Promotions hierarchy in the Promotions dimension.

      EXTRACT(CROSSJOIN([Promotion].[Promotions].[Type].Members, [Date].[Calendar].[Calendar Year].Members), [Date].[Calendar]) ON ROWS
