Description: The NonEmptyCrossJoin function returns the non empty cross product of one or more sets evaluated against a numeric expression.

The query below uses the regular crossjoin function to show empty cells that are returned when crossjoining the Category level with the Fiscal Year level for the Sales Amount measure.
 

SELECT
      {[Measures].[Sales Amount]} ON COLUMNS,
      CROSSJOIN([Product].[Product Categories].[Category].Members, [Date].[Fiscal].[Fiscal Year].Members) ON ROWS
FROM
      [Adventure Works]
 
 

 
The query below uses the NonEmptyCrossjoin function to remove empty cells from the cross product of the Category level and the Fiscal Year level for the Sales Amount measure.
 

SELECT
      {[Measures].[Sales Amount]} ON COLUMNS,
      NONEMPTYCROSSJOIN([Product].[Product Categories].[Category].Members, [Date].[Fiscal].[Fiscal Year].Members) ON ROWS
FROM
